To everyone who participated in the toy drive show at Mick's:
I thought you'd like to see the end result of your kindness and generosity. As you can see from the smiling faces, it was a huge success. We went to Porcupine Dec. 20th with about 300 toys.
We couldn't fit another toy in the truck (as you can see from the picture). Every kid got a few things, and also a stocking filled with candy (Thanks to my mom—"It's not Christmas without a stocking!")
I can't say thank you enough to all of you who donated gifts, money and time. Hopefully you can tell from the pictures what a wonderful thing this was for the kids.
I want to again thank the musicians for donating their talent and time; Beth McBride, Dave Barger, Gunnar Guenette, and John Henry. Thanks to Mike and Melanie Brandon and Shayne Haig for working the door, and to my friend Steve Graeve for donating his truck and gas to get us to Porcupine. Also thanks to Michael Campbell and everyone at Mick's for letting us use their space to do this.
